Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the organising committee of NEDSCON '16, I take great pleasure in welcoming you to the 21st Annual Conference of the North Eastern Diabetes society to be held in Guwahati from 4th to 6th November 2016. Over the past few years, the Annual Conference of the society has been riding the crest of a popularity wave and for this year, we are determined to make this mega event a memorable experience.

The Scientific Committee has meticulously chalked out a programme to include State of Art lectures, plenary sessions and panel discussions to update our knowledge on various aspects of diabetes. A galaxy of nationally acclaimed speakers and six distinguished international speakers will deliberate and share their expertise.
Guwahati, going by its ancient name, Pragjyotishpur, is the 'Light of the East', and is the gateway to North East India. Straddling the banks of mighty Brahmaputra, Guwahati is a crowled, busy river city and a major commercial hub of the region. It is home to many temples that date back to the 16th century. The Kamakhya temple, one of the most revered temples of Hindu faith, and the mighty river, dominate the life of our city.
